Welsh Government Consultation - The Clear Air Plan

This plan sets out the policy direction and proposed actions to reduce air pollution to support improvements in public health and the natural environment and includes proposals for a Clear Air Act for Wales as well as commitments and actions relating to agriculture and land use.  The draft plan identifies that, despite steady improvements in air quality in recent decades, air pollution remains the largest environmental risk to the public’s health in the UK.  Welsh Government states that air pollution also adversely affects wildlife.

Welsh Government are consulting on the draft Clean Air Plan for Wales.  The consultation opened on 10th December 2019 and will close on 10th March 2020.
