UK Unions discuss solutions to dairy sector problems

The implications on supply chains and specific market sectors have been dramatically affected in the last 14 days. The challenges Covid-19 brings to any sector are challenging, but with spring flush looming and consumer buying patterns severely disrupted, this makes it a challenge that needs to be acted on immediately.

All the dairy representatives from UK unions held a conference call this morning to look at and consider possible solutions to the current difficulties the UK dairy sector is experiencing.

There is no silver bullet to this, but the Unions would like all members to be assured it is doing everything it can to work with Government, national and devolved, and other key stakeholders to ensure we come through this period with minimum disruption in the chain.
