NRW Compliance Assessment of Welsh River SACs agai

26 January 2021

NFU Cymru has produced a briefing which provides a summary of the Natural Resources Wales Compliance Assessment of Welsh SAC Rivers against Phosphorus targets, published 22 January 2021.

Revisions to JNCC monitoring guidance have led Natural Resources Wales (NRW) to review its conservation objectives for river Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) in Wales, notably with respect to phosphorus where targets have been substantially tightened, especially in headwater areas.

The Compliance Assessment aims to identify compliance with the revised phosphorus targets for Welsh river SACs.
