For four days the agricultural stage will be filled with the world’s media, politicians from Cardiff Bay, Westminster and further afield, as well as celebrities, visitors and thousands of animals that descend on the Llanelwedd showground for an occasion that celebrates the very best of Welsh agriculture.

The parties and their policies

Senedd elections are now less than 10 months away, and with changes to the Senedd’s electoral system, as well as an increase in the number of MSs from 60 to 96, the 2026 Senedd election looks set to be the most historic and ground-breaking in more than a quarter of a century of devolution, with unprecedented opportunities for NFU Cymru to seek to influence policy.

NFU Cymru has invited speakers from those parties not currently in Government in Cardiff Bay to set out their policy offer to farmers and rural Wales ahead of next May’s election and this is your opportunity to listen to what they have to say and to quiz the speakers.
