DPJ offers free mental health awareness training

It will appeal to farmers, farmers’ partners and those in farm facing roles such as vets, feed reps, tanker drivers, salesmen and women and animal welfare inspectors. 

Thanks to funding from the UK Government Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and Comic Relief, the DPJ Foundation has received funding from the Coronavirus Mental Health Response Fund to run free mental health awareness training for those living and working in agricultural communities and on farms in Wales.

The training will cover:

  • What is Mental Health
  • Why mental health is so important in agriculture
  • How to spot the signs of someone struggling with poor mental health, including anxiety and depression.
  • Suicide awareness
  • How to hold conversations about mental wellbeing and signpost people to support
  • How to manage your own mental wellbeing

Monday 9th November 

12.30pm - 4pm

Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th November (over two sessions)

6pm-7.30pm
