Apprenticeships Wales: what you need to know

Employment

An apprenticeship is a real job with a training programme where individuals earn while they learn; leading to a qualification whilst gaining valuable skills and knowledge in a specific job role. This Business Guide (BG) seeks to provide you with information on what it means to take on an apprentice, the legal obligations upon you and the entitlements of the apprentice.

The law in England about employing apprentices is different.  We have created a separate BG for our members in England ‘Apprenticeships England: what you need to know’.
