How long would it take for an ambulance to reach your property if a cardiac arrest took place?

Is the answer more than 10 minutes?

Time for Emergency Services to reach your location in this event, is critical! CPR and a defibrillator can buy you those extra, crucial minutes.

Defib Plus, in association with the NFU, is actively championing The Countryside Defibrillator Initiative, these are hard times, but now is the time to make this life-or-death decision and be prepared.

All defibrillators supplied by Defib Plus are classified as PAD, Public Access Defibrillators and are designed for use by the untrained or initiated, simply open the unit and you are guided throughout the resuscitation with visual and audible instructions.

Already got a defibrillator? Register it on The Circuit - the national defibrillator network, brought to you by The British Heart Foundation.

Member case study: Woolley Park Golf Club is owned and run by the Rowbottom family alongside their arable farming business based in West Yorkshire.

Director Philip Rowbottom purchased a defibrillator for the club last year and explains more.

“The reason we decided to install a defibrillator was the sheer volume of people that can be on site at any one time. It was really important for us to have one in place, with the hope that we never have to use it.

We took advantage of the NFU’s 10% discount with Defib Plus and have a full service package with them. This includes monthly maintenance. We carry out monthly checks as part of our health and safety requirements, but it just provides us with peace of mind. Plus, if you ever need any replacement parts, they’re covered too.

Defib Plus stands out for its customer service. They are excellent to deal with and are very responsive on the phone and email, so it’s reassuring to know I can get in touch with them straight away if I need to. They always provide us with useful, practical advice, and will follow up with us if we’ve reached a maintenance deadline. If the defibrillator ever needed to be used, Defib will debrief any staff that had to use it – health and wellbeing is very important to them. If you’re thinking about installing a defibrillator on your farm or business, I would definitely recommend speaking to Defib Plus to find out how they can help.”
