Welsh Government recently launched a £2.5million Flood Relief Fund which is available to Welsh businesses to help them recover from damage and disruption caused by the recent storms - Ciara, Dennis and Jorge.
The Business Flood Relief Grant is available to support Small and Medium Enterprises with the immediate costs of recovery from damage and disruption caused by the storms. A sum of £2,500 is available per business to ensure that they remain solvent through disrupted trading periods.
NFU Cymru has been in discussion with Welsh Government with regards to ensuring that farming businesses are eligible to apply for the Flood Relief Grant. We are now able to confirm that farm businesses (SMEs) are eligible under de minimis rules (their CRN reference will need to be provided in the application).
The fund is administered by Business Wales and will support businesses with the immediate costs of recovery not covered by insurance.
Businesses can apply for the grant using the application form which is available online at the following links
or by contacting the Business Wales Helpline on 03000 6 03000. Any business that has already contacted Business Wales to express their interest in applying for the Flood Relief Grant since it was announced will automatically be issued with the application form and guidance.
Alternatively, businesses can write to the Business Flood Relief Fund, Business Wales, Bocam Park, Unit 14/15 Oldfield Road, Pencoed, Bridgend CF35 5LJ or email Zmxvb2RyZWxpZWZmdW5kQGJ1c2luZXNzd2FsZXMub3JnLnVr
