The NFU shared 16 videos from its members and Student & Young Farmer Ambassadors during the course of the day, covering all farming sectors and the work that British farmers do to set high standards of animal welfare and protect the environment.

Farmers Guardian tweeted to say how great it was to see so many of our young farmers getting involved, thanking them for their support.

The Prime Minister Boris Johnson also took to Twitter to express his gratitude for all the work that farmers have done to put food on plates during the coronavirus pandemic:

Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat also had high volumes of farming activity as the nation’s farmers took to social media for a full 24 hours to showcase what they do.

Organised by FG Insights and sponsored by Morrisons, the aim of the day was to showcase the passion and commitment that goes into producing the food we eat. Now more than ever, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, British farmers are being relied on to dig deep and serve the nation.

Everyone involved in the industry was invited to take part, simply by posting, sharing photos and/or videos about the work they are doing.
