NFU Cymru Vision for Welsh Upland Farming Conference

11 November 2020

The event will take place on Tuesday 24th November 2020 at 1pm and reveal the findings of a Wales-wide survey undertaken by NFU Cymru of those living and working in Wales’ less favoured area (LFA).

Welsh farmers are invited to virtually attend NFU Cymru’s Vision for Welsh Upland Farming Conference at which the union’s Vision for Welsh Upland Farming report will be launched.

NFU Cymru LFA Board Chair Kath Whitrow said: “Wales’ uplands are of significant importance to Wales’ economic, environmental, social and cultural well-being. The research NFU Cymru has conducted has further highlighted the crucial role of the uplands, as well as the concerns held by those living and working in these areas.

“As part of this work, the Vision for Welsh Upland Farming report will propose a series of key asks to policy makers that are required in order to deliver a productive, profitable and progressive future for Welsh upland farming.

“I’m pleased that NFU Cymru has undertaken this important work and I’d encourage anyone with an interest in the uplands to log in to the conference to hear more about the insights that we’ve gained from this research.”

Anyone interested in attending the event is encouraged to register their interest by emailing bmZ1LmN5bXJ1QG5mdS5vcmcudWs= or calling the NFU Cymru office on 01982 554200.
