NFU Cymru Monmouthshire virtual AGM 2020

13 November 2020

The meeting will take place via Microsoft Teams on Monday 23rd November at 7.30pm, and Helen, who has a degree in agriculture from Harper Adams University, will speak to members about retailers’ data trends during the Coronavirus pandemic, monitoring consumers’ buying behaviours and the importance of food labelling.

NFU Cymru members in Monmouthshire are invited to a virtual AGM to hear from guest speaker, NFU’s Food Chain Adviser, Helen Hunt.

Helen, a farmer’s daughter and wife from Warwickshire, joined the NFU in 2011 and has held various roles including TB Policy Adviser and Poultry Adviser. She has been in the food chain team since 2016 and is responsible for food labelling policy and two retail accounts.

During the meeting nominations for the NFU Cymru Monmouthshire officeholders’ team for the coming term will also take place.

Kate Beavan, NFU Cymru Monmouthshire County Chair said: “I’d like to thank Helen for agreeing to come and speak with us at our AGM. It will be interesting to hear her thoughts on food and the pandemic.

“All members in Monmouthshire will receive a link to join the meeting so I do hope you will all join us. While we may not be able to meet in person it will be good to catch up, even from the comfort of our own homes.”
