Inter-member disputes: the process and mediation explained

Legal Guides

If you have become embroiled in dispute with another NFU member, this document is designed to explain what the NFU’s Legal Assistance Scheme (LAS) may be able to do for you, and what the procedures are.

The NFU’s aim is to save members’ time, money and distress by encouraging them to settle their dispute before it leads to costly litigation.  This is achieved by offering formal mediation, or any other form of alternative dispute resolution, if acceptable to both parties.
