Francie Gorman

President, Irish Farmers' Association (IFA)

Francie Gorman is the 17th President of the Irish Farmers’ Association.

He was elected in December 2023 and he took up office in January. He will serve a four-year term.

He previously served as IFA Regional Chair for South Leinster and as Chair of Laois IFA.

A beef and sheep farmer from Ballinakill in Co Laois, Francie Gorman has also represented Laois IFA on the National Farm Business Committee.

Francie represents 72,000 members negotiating with The Irish Government and the EU Commission on all farming issues including the Common Agricultural Policy, Nitrates Action Programme, international trade deals, climate change and much more.
