Llantrisant NFU Cymru/NFU Mutual Group Secretary Simon Evans and NFU Cymru Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion County Adviser Aled Davies were top of the membership performance charts at the NFU National Achievement Awards held in March.
Simon Evans was crowned Wales and England Group Office of the Year winner, while Aled Davies was the recipient of the Wales and England County Adviser of the Year award.
The evening also paid testament to staff across Wales and England who had reached or surpassed the organisation's membership targets for 2025/26.
Among those honoured were Aled Griffiths and Richard Turner from the NFU Cymru/NFU Mutual office in Newtown, who achieved the remarkable feat of having hit target for 19 consecutive years.
They were closely followed by Heather Holgate at the NFU Cymru/NFU Mutual Ceredigion and Llandovery, who had succeeded in meeting target for 18 years.
High membership Standards
“In particular, it was fantastic to have Welsh colleagues finishing on top of the Wales/England leaderboard in the Group Secretary and County Adviser roles.”
Iestyn Pritchard, NFU Cymru Head of Operations
Those other staff and offices recognised for meeting these high membership standards this year included Dai Morgan, Carwyn Jones, Rhys Davies and Cathy Davies (Ceredigion and Llandovery); Paula Robbins, Dorian Williams, Neil Davies and Cara Norman (Pembrokeshire); Gerwyn Davies and Rhys Williams (Llandeilo); Emyr Davies and Greg Connolly (Anglesey).
NFU Cymru Head of Operations Iestyn Pritchard said: "I’d like to congratulate all of the NFU Cymru team who qualified for this year's National Achievement Awards. Hitting this mark is testament to those colleagues who promote the work of the union in everything they do and a sign of those who really go the extra mile for their members.
Dedicated and talented
"In Wales are fortunate to have so many dedicated and talented colleagues and it is because of our excellent network of County Advisers and Group Secretaries that we have such a strong membership base here in Wales.
In particular, it was fantastic to have Welsh colleagues finishing on top of the Wales/England leaderboard in the Group Secretary and County Adviser roles. A hearty congratulations to Simon and his colleagues in Llantrisant, along with Aled and the team in West Wales.
"Furthermore, on behalf of NFU Cymru I also commend Aled, Richard and Heather for their continued hard work and exacting standards, racking up a good many years of excellence between them."
