Their daughter, Teleri, lives in Cardiff and works for the BBC. Since joining the Young Farmers movement as a youngster and Susan’s involvement over 25 years with the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society’s Board of Directors, and more recently her charity work for Tir Dewi (a farming support Charity), rural life and the countryside have been the main theme of her life’s work.

She has been honoured to be elected as President of RWAS when Anglesey is Feature County 2027.
Susan is also involved with the county show, Anglesey Agricultural Society, and is a fellow of the Royal Agricultural Societies since 2023.

After a year as High Sheriff of Gwynedd in 2019-2020, Susan has been Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Gwynedd since 2024.

In her limited spare time Susan enjoys spending time with her granddaughters and sailing with her husband.
