NFU Cymru President and Deputy President candidates

We are giving members an opportunity to hear from the NFU Cymru President and Deputy President candidates ahead of the elections during a meeting of Welsh Council in January 2022. 

Each candidate has provided a two minute video introducing themselves and their farm, a short written statement and a video on why they should be elected to their role. In order to view all the content on the page, members must log in using their email address/membership number and password.

Who are the candidates?

Candidates for President

  • Aled Jones, a dairy farmer from Mid Gwynedd and current NFU Cymru Deputy President

Candidates for Deputy President

  • Abi Reader, a mixed dairy, beef, sheep and arable farmer from Glamorgan and current NFU Cymru Dairy Board Chair.
  • Gary Yeomans, a mixed goat, cattle, sheep and arable farmer in Monmouthshire and a current NFU Cymru Welsh Council representative for Monmouthshire.
