NFU Cymru welcomes new Membership Development Manager

Sophie Davies, Membership Development Manager_43791NFU Cymru has appointed Sophie Davies as its new Membership Development Manager.


Sophie, who graduated from Aberystwyth University with a degree in Politics and Law, is a farmer’s daughter and was raised on the family beef and arable farm in Glamorgan. She has previously worked in recruitment holding positions with Edinburgh Woolen Mill, Microsoft and Eversheds Sutherland, before joining NFU Cymru and has been a member of Glamorgan YFC since a young age.


Sophie’s role will involve developing and overseeing the NFU Cymru membership offer and ensuring the organisation continues to provide the highest possible service and value for their members.


Speaking about her appointment, Sophie said: “It’s a huge privilege to be joining the NFU Cymru team as their Membership Development Manager. With my family background in farming and a professional career in recruitment, I am really looking forward to working with the NFU Cymru Group Secretaries, County Advisers and all the team to ensure we continue to offer the best possible membership service.”


Welcoming Sophie to the team, NFU Cymru Director John Mercer, said: “I am delighted that we have been able to bring Sophie into the team. With her background in farming and recruitment I’m sure she will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role and help us further develop our membership package. I know she will be a great asset to our already growing membership.”
