NFU Cymru quiz night

23 September 2020

Members can join the virtual meeting from 7pm with the quiz starting at 7:30pm. NFU Cymru Monmouthshire County Chair Kate Beavan and Brecon & Radnor County Chairman Geraint Watkins will be taking on the role of quiz masters.

NFU Cymru members in Brecon & Radnor and Monmouthshire are invited to join a virtual quiz night on Friday 2nd October. The quiz provides an opportunity for members within the counties to catch up after what has been a challenging six months.

Kate Beavan said: “We have planned an evening of light entertainment, a bit of fun given that we cannot all see each other in person for a catch up. NFU Cymru has kindly sponsored the quiz with the winning team being awarded a £50 meat voucher. There are also two £25 meat vouchers up for grabs for the runners up. The vouchers can be spent at the successful teams local butcher.”

Geraint Watkins commented: “Many have missed the opportunity to catch up with friends and fellow farmers, especially as many of the agricultural shows were cancelled over the summer. The quiz night provides the change for NFU Cymru members from the two counties to catch up socially. We hope to see as many teams as possible get involved.”

Prior to the quiz night, a photograph competition will be running where members are asked to send in their best farming photograph. Upon registering for the event more information on the competition will be made available, with the winner announced on the night of the quiz. Registration for the competition closes at 12 noon on Thursday 1st October.
