From 1st January 2021, when the UK’s transition period for leaving the EU ends, UK businesses wishing to export to the EU will be subject to a new trading and regulatory environment which businesses will need to prepare for. Whilst negotiations are continuing on a new FTA, both the UK and the EU have issued advice relating to the field of customs applicable from 1st January 2020.
