Cattle passport amendments

BCMS have announced that cattle keepers can now once again post amendments to cattle passports.

Following the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak BCMS temporarily asked keepers to request cattle passport amendments by email. If possible, and restrictions allow, BCMS now ask us to return to the original process, which is: write on the passport what information needs to be amended; if the amendment is to the date of birth, or requires 3 or more amendments, send a copy of your calving records; and post the original passport to British Cattle Movement Service, Curwen Road, Workington, CA14 2DD.

BCMS guidance

If possible, and restrictions allow, please now return to the process, below:

  • write on the passport what information needs to be amended
    • if the amendment is to the date of birth, or requires 3 or more amendments, please also send a copy of your calving records
  • post the original passport to:

British Cattle Movement Service
Curwen Road
WORKINGTON
CA14 2DD

We advise you to ask for proof of postage.

Please check your cattle passport applications before posting them to avoid further amendments later.

We can still accept these by email if you are unable to post them.
