Land Law Adviser
1 Permanent Position and 1 Maternity Cover up to 12 months
Starting salary £34,869.61– negotiable, dependent on experience
Are you an experienced Land Law Adviser striving to achieve a better work/home-life balance?
Do you have a ‘can do’ attitude and enjoy working in a friendly and supportive team environment? Are you interested in the prospect of learning and advising on agricultural property law?
Look no further – this exciting opportunity could be the role for you.
We are looking for a Land Law Adviser to join our team who has experience advising on property related issues such as tenancies, adverse possession and easements. A desire to learn about the agricultural aspects of land law is important, and in-house training will be provided on these niche areas and all other areas of land law to bring you up to speed. This role would be perfect for either a conveyancer looking for a change, or a property litigator.
To be successful in this busy and varied role you will need to be an imaginative problem solver, possess impressive organisational skills and have a keen eye for detail. You will also be a responsive learner capable of getting to grips with new areas of law proficiently.
As a Legal Adviser, you will work within a highly supportive and knowledgeable team in which you will provide high quality legal, technical or policy related advice in response to member queries.
The advice our team provides is predominantly delivered by way of telephone consultations with our farming membership, although other mediums are used such as emails and distributing legal guides. You will therefore need to have a flexible and adaptable communication style, an excellent telephone manner and experience providing quality customer service.
The role requires you to be experienced in advising on Land Law as your fundamental topic, but you may also be required to provide legal advice to our members on other topics such as commercial litigation, planning or environmental issues, following structured and supportive in-house training from our team. Experience advising on commercial litigation is therefore desirable but not essential for this position.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to become part of a professional team who are passionate about providing high quality legal advice and customer service to our farming membership.
