Their work includes liaison with a wide range of local organisations, they co-ordinate county meetings and progress a variety of specific issues, and generally develop the policy interests of NFU Cymru in their respective areas. Business Development Managers Gwen Davies, North Wales Office Manager Wales Office Manager Elwyn Gwilym Public Relations Officer Sarah Jones Advises on NFU Cymru's profile; promotes the interests of NFU Cymru and the industry to the media at all levels – television, radio and newspapers. Also assists in the training of Group Secretaries and members in dealing with the media. The Public Relations Officer is the Editor of NFU Cymru’s monthly publication, Farming Wales. Assistant Public Relations Officer Awel Morris Responds to the press, writes and issues English and Welsh press releases and articles promoting the interests of NFU Cymru. Responsible as a first point of contact for relations between NFU Cymru and elected members of the National Assembly for . Inevitably much of the work includes detailed lobbying and briefing on individual policies. The work also compliments the Parliamentary lobbying activity of NFU Cymru in providing additional briefs to Welsh MPs and MEPs
Both managers are responsible for supervising the work of the Group Secretaries. Their basic tasks are to assist and motivate Group Secretaries to maximise subscription income and recruitment.
