NFU Cymru Privacy Policy
Member site
- When a member logs in for the first time, part of the log in will involve giving a membership number and PostCode. This membership number postcode corresponds to the membership records for that member held in the NFU Services Membership database.
- In terms of normal session management there will be electronic monitoring of site usage which will involve logging the user's IP address. This information is only used to provide navigation statistics and will enable the administrators to evaluate use of the site and improve it (e.g. if the stats show nobody has visited the alpaca pages for two years, they could be safely withdrawn).
- Cookies will be used for session management purposes only and not for collecting user information from the site.
General site Privacy Statement
- The NFU takes the privacy of NFU-Cymru member site users seriously. The NFU-Cymru web site does not automatically capture or store personal information, except for logging the user's IP address and session information such as the duration of the visit and type of browser used. This is recognised by the web server and is only used for system administration and to provide statistics that the NFU uses to evaluate and improve the site.
- We also use cookies which enable us to remember who you are the next time you visit NFU Cymru. These cookies contain data from which you cannot be identified personally but which the web server can interpret.
- We do not use cookies for collecting user information from the site.
- You may be asked for personal information if you want to take advantage of specific services that the NFU and associated third parties offer, such as online forums or product information. In each case the personal information you provide will only be used to deliver the services you have indicated you want to have.
- The NFU reserves the right to communicate by email with users of the NFU Cymru member site on policy issues affecting NFU farmers and growers.
- This privacy policy covers the NFU Cynru web site and NFUnet. It does not cover external web sites to which there are links from the NFU Cymru web site.
