NFU Cymru has today announced that their new Director will be Mary James currently Head of Policy/Deputy Director with the Union.

Mary will replace Malcolm Thomas who has been appointed Director of Membership and Regions for the NFU at their Stoneleigh HQ.

Dai Davies, President of NFU Cymru said, “I am absolutely delighted to confirm that Mary will be our new Director.  Mary has an unequalled knowledge of the industry and the political structure in Wales and her knowledge will ensure that NFU Cymru goes forward from strength to strength.”

Richard Macdonald, Director General of the NFU said, “Mary’s appointment is a key one within the overall NFU structure and will ensure that NFU Cymru’s service and representation on behalf of its members will continue to be of the highest quality.  Mary will take up her duties on 28 July and we wish her well.”

Mary James said, “We have a talented team in Wales that is totally committed to advancing the interests of NFU Cymru members and I consider it a very real privilege to be heading up such a dedicated group of people.”
