01 - July - 2008Clwyd Young Farmers benefit from 200 donation
Clwyd Young Farmers Clubs have received a £200 donation from local NFU Cymru members.
Clwyd YFC’s Chairman, Geraint Evans and Rally Queen Sara Roberts were presented with the cheque by NFU Cymru’s Chairman for Clwyd, Richard Tomlinson, at the County Rally held at Abbey farm, Llangollen earlier this month.
Richard Tomlinson said, “NFU Cymru is proud to offer its support to the young farmers in the county. We are committed to safeguarding the future of the farming industry and to do so it is vital that we invest in the next generation of farmers.”
Accepting the cheque, Clwyd YFC’s Chairman, Geraint Evans, said, “Once again this year on behalf of our members, I would like to thank NFU Cymru for their generous donation. Like many other county federations we are facing an uncertain future financially and having a major sponsor for this event secures the future for these rural events.
“It’s heartening that we can work closely with the farming unions, as more often than not we are working towards the same goal within rural Wales.”
