13 - May - 2008NFU CYMRU PRESIDENT ADDRESSES MEIRIONNYDD COUNTY MEETING

Both the President and Vice President of NFU Cymru will address the next meeting of NFU Cymru members in Meirionnydd which will be held on farm on Thursday, 22 May 2008.

Dai Davies, the President, a dairy farmer from Carmarthenshire and Ed Bailey, the Vice President a beef and sheep farmer from Meirionnydd, will discuss the current issues affecting the agricultural industry in Wales.

The meeting will start at 6pm and will be held, by kind permission, on the family farm of Hywel Roberts – Tyncelyn farm, Gwyddelwern, Corwen. As well as the discussion on current issues there will also be an opportunity to see the farming system used at Tyncelyn.

Meirionnydd County Chairman, Huw Alun Evans said, “We are very grateful to both the President and Vice President of the Union for agreeing to come and have a discussion with local members. We would also like to thank Hywel and his family for letting us hold the meeting on his farm. I would like to extend a warm welcome to as many local farmers as possible to the meeting.”
