Deferred Meeting - Countryside Council for Wales Chairman to address Welsh Council

Morgan Parry, the Chairman of the Countryside Council for Wales will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of NFU Cymru’s ruling body, Welsh Council, which has been deferred and will now take place on Wednesday, 22 September 2010.

Morgan Parry was appointed Chair of the Countryside Council for Wales in March 2010. He is a member of the Climate Change Commission for Wales. Until his appointment to CCW he was Chair of Cynnal Cymru, the Sustainable Development Forum for Wales and a writer and lecturer on sustainability. He established the Wales office of WWF in 2000 and led the organisation there until May 2009.

The meeting will be held at Ty Amaeth – Agriculture House on the Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells, from 11am on Wednesday, 22 September 2010.
