Brecon and Radnor Meeting Invite

Helen Barnes from FWAG will address the next Brecon and Radnor NFU Cymru meeting on Glastir and the prescriptions available to enter the new agri-environment scheme.

The meeting will be held on Monday, 6 September 2010 at the International Pavilion, on the Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells at 7.30pm. During the meeting NFU Cymru members will hear details on the prescriptions available in order to gain sufficient points for the all-Wales element of the Glastir Scheme – which will come into effect on 1 January 2012.

Glastir will replace the Tir Mynydd, Tir Cynnal, Tir Gofal and Organic Farming Schemes. The application packs for the new scheme will be issued by the Welsh Assembly Government from 4 October and farmers will have until 22 November to return their completed application forms.

This is an important issue for local NFU Cymru members and presents an ideal opportunity to find out more about the prescriptions available which will determine whether or not your farm can enter the scheme.
